Internships

Students in grades 10 – 12 are eligible to pursue internal and external internships.  Internships allow students to gain real-life experience, learn new skills, and function in non-school environments. Internships may be used to earn credit applied toward high school graduation.

Internships are one semester in length, may occur during or overlap school hours, and are typically unpaid. Summer internships are also available and credit can be earned if tuition for a summer session is remitted. Students are responsible for their own transportation if required.

Midwest will work with families and our network of contacts in the community to help identify and introduce students to potential internship sponsors, as available. Throughout the internship, a faculty advisor will help the student collaborate with the internship sponsor to develop and monitor goals, objectives, and performance.
