Middle School Student
“Before Midwest, I didn’t want to go to school. I was so lost. It was so loud. There were so many kids in my class. I was different. The way Midwest teaches is very engaging. It’s different. The classes are much smaller which helps me learn since teachers can spend more time with me and not just lecture at me like at my last school. It’s a smaller environment, which I needed. The teachers and counselors genuinely know who I am, and I know they care about me. I’ve found that I learn the best by doing hands-on projects. The kids here are very nice. There are no bullies here. I actually have friends here, and I didn’t before. I am definitely more involved in after-school clubs and other school activities. I don’t dread going to school. This is my school home.”
