3-Dimensional Design II

Students in 3 dimensional design will apply their previously acquired art skills and ideas introduced in 3-Dimensional Design I to work in a variety of new mediums in order to create 3 dimensional works of art. We will be thinking on a larger scale and looking to the community for inspiration. This type of artwork requires a deeper thought and planning process because of the added relationship between the form and the space around it. Students will be asked to sculpturally explore a variety of projects including, but not limited to, installation pieces, relief sculptures, subtractive sculptures, and additive sculptures. Students will explore 3 dimensional works of art created by a variety of artists.
