Math- Group A1

Math A 1 begins with a review of the use of whole numbers, fractions and decimals in order to solve real-world problems. Students are then introduced to algebra and functions, an exploration of 3-D geometry and measurement, as well as data analysis, statistics and probability. Skills developed over the course of the year include rational and irrational numbers; exponents; ratios; order of operations; scientific notation; budgeting and consumer math; integers; proportions; 2-step linear equations; graph analysis; slope intercept form; properties of a linear function; geometry; measurement; the Pythagorean Theorem and data analysis.
