NPR 101

The NPR 101 course encourages students to think at higher levels about the world around them and to recognize the connections between that world and themselves. Students learn about current events, stories, topical humor, etc., through exposure to National Public Radio programming and podcasts. The course is designed to encourage critical thinking skills through discussions, writing assignments, and group dialogue. Ideally, students will examine current events and trends in our society with eyes turned toward the values and mores which have shaped our culture as a whole and each of us as individuals.
