Science – Group C

Students will perform experiments during class as they begin to use the scientific method. Students will focus on lab safety, how to ask scientific questions, and predicting outcomes as they explore the topics of matter and its properties. Real world examples will be used as much as possible including outdoor science walks, making models, and other hands on activities. An example of a biology activity would be growing plants from seeds to experience the stages and rate of growth. Students will read and summarize current articles to develop scientific literacy and vocabulary.
