Social Studies – Group A2

Social Studies A2 students will compare and contrast the culture of different decades and describe the possible factors behind those differences. Students will learn about the culture and values of the era and use that information, along with research about important events and people to discern the common attitudes and values people may have had at that time in history. Students will be encouraged to produce displays or representations that demonstrate an understanding of the relationships between culture, events, and people during the time frame being studied. A presentation on Kent State might use the Neil Young song “Ohio” to illustrate how some people felt about the incident.
