Social Studies – Group B

In Group B, students will discover the role and impact of prominent figures in history. They will examine how the choices, speeches, and activities of these leaders caused or influenced events. A weekly discussion of current events by students will help to connect the past decades to the world today. Students will share their information through presentations and projects citing their sources. A student studying Martin Luther King Jr. might choose to play a portion of a speech he made and then relate parts of the speech to a particular law or incident.
