Spanish II

The majority of this class is conducted in Spanish. Conversational Spanish is strengthened through oral assignments pursued at home and at school. Further emphasis is placed on sentence structure, grammar and the relationship between language and culture by understanding the following concepts: compound and complex sentence structure, use of preterit, imperfect and present tenses, differences of sentence structure between English and Spanish and study of the evolution of the Spanish language and culture from Ancient times. Students will be expected to speak in Spanish whenever possible in class – and exclusively for most projects.
