Tiff Johnson

Professionally, Tiff is a pediatric cardiologist at Riley Hospital for Children, where she directs the Cardiac MRI Program. She is a Professor of Pediatrics, Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University in Indianapolis. She also co-owns a business with her husband.

Tiff received her Bachelor of Arts Degree (1993) and Medical Degree (1997) from the University of Missouri, Mizzou Campus. She has lived in Indiana since 2000, currently in Zionsville with her husband, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Her oldest son is a current Midwest Academy student, and her younger son will be at Midwest Academy for the 2020-2021 academic year. Tiff volunteers her time with the Boone County 4-H program through Purdue University as the Leader of the Health Project. She and her husband are foster parents and have adopted 2 of their children through the foster care system. Her family is active in their local church and in support of family activities.

Tiff cares about the well-being and futures of all children, and there is a special place in her heart for the students and staff at Midwest Academy.

Cathy Peacock

Cathy joined the Midwest Academy Board of Trustees in October 2019. Professionally, Cathy is currently the Global Regulatory Crop Protection Business Implementation Leader at Corteva Agriscience, where she leads a team that supports the crop protection business in the successful planning, budgeting, and implementation of various programs to enable product registrations globally. She has worked at Corteva Agriscience (previously Dow AgroSciences) for over 22 years in various roles including over ten years in research and development as a biologist. Additionally, she is a trained Six Sigma Greenbelt having led several successful process improvement projects throughout her tenure.

Outside of her work life, Cathy is passionate about her family and church. She currently is a member of her church’s leadership council and pastoral search committee and is the church pianist. Cathy attended the Ball State University Honors College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in both Chemistry and Piano in 1996. She lives in Carmel with her husband and two sons. Her eldest son is a 2019 alumnus of Midwest Academy.

Crystal Hinson Miller

Crystal has been a member of the Midwest Academy Board of Trustees since the fall of 2019, and currently serves on the board’s development committee.

Professionally, she serves as Chief Philanthropy Officer for Indiana University Health and President of the IU Health Foundation. In these roles, she leads system philanthropy efforts across 15 IU Health adult hospitals and is the chief steward of the Foundation’s $250M in assets.

Crystal’s commitment to civic and faith-based work includes involvement with Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Indiana and as a “<em>Legacy Leader</em>” for the Pass the Torch for Women Foundation. She is also an active member of Second Presbyterian Church, serving on the church’s Commitment Committee and being annually engaged in Second Church’s <em>Christmas Benevolence</em> program..

A native North Carolinian, she is an alumna of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her master’s degree with honors from Appalachian State University. She and her husband live in Indianapolis with their two sons, one of whom attends Midwest Academy. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, watching movies, following college sports and learning more about the Hoosier state they have called home since 2017.

Wayne Kotulic - Board President

Wayne Kotulic joined the MWA Board of Directors in June 2019, and currently serves on the board’s development committee. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a BS in management. A firm believer in progressive education, Wayne understands that finding the “right spot” for our children’s educational journey is vital. He is proud to be associated with such an innovative school and faculty at Midwest Academy.

Professionally, Wayne is the Vice-President of Texon Athletic Towel, the nation’s leading supplier to professional, collegiate, and amateur sports. Wayne enjoys traveling with his family on vacations, and attending customer’s sporting events around the country. He resides in Westfield, with his wife and son, who is a current Midwest Academy student.
