Jill began her career in 1985 with Alex. Brown and Sons, the first investment bank in the United States based in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1990, she relocated to Indianapolis with her husband Vince and joined Indiana National Bank (a predecessor bank of JPMorgan Chase) as a Corporate Banker. Her 30-year career with JPMorgan Chase has been dedicated to serving Indiana middle market companies as an advisor delivering the firm’s credit, investment banking, treasury services and asset management platforms. During the course of her career with the firm, Jill has held a number of leadership roles in banking, business management and finance. Jill has had the privilege of serving in a civic capacity as a board member with such organizations as Girls Inc. of Indianapolis, The Women Like Us Foundation and Holy Spirit Parish at Geist. She has also served on a number of advisory committees for the United Way of Central Indiana. Jill holds a Master of Business Administration degree from IUPUI and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland.
Professionally, Tiff is a pediatric cardiologist at Riley Hospital for Children, where she directs the Cardiac MRI Program. She is a Professor of Pediatrics, Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University in Indianapolis. She also co-owns a business with her husband.
Tiff received her Bachelor of Arts Degree (1993) and Medical Degree (1997) from the University of Missouri, Mizzou Campus. She has lived in Indiana since 2000, currently in Zionsville with her husband, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Her oldest son is a current Midwest Academy student, and her younger son will be at Midwest Academy for the 2020-2021 academic year. Tiff volunteers her time with the Boone County 4-H program through Purdue University as the Leader of the Health Project. She and her husband are foster parents and have adopted 2 of their children through the foster care system. Her family is active in their local church and in support of family activities.
Tiff cares about the well-being and futures of all children, and there is a special place in her heart for the students and staff at Midwest Academy.
Cathy joined the Midwest Academy Board of Trustees in October 2019. Professionally, Cathy is currently the Global Regulatory Crop Protection Business Implementation Leader at Corteva Agriscience, where she leads a team that supports the crop protection business in the successful planning, budgeting, and implementation of various programs to enable product registrations globally. She has worked at Corteva Agriscience (previously Dow AgroSciences) for over 22 years in various roles including over ten years in research and development as a biologist. Additionally, she is a trained Six Sigma Greenbelt having led several successful process improvement projects throughout her tenure.
Outside of her work life, Cathy is passionate about her family and church. She currently is a member of her church’s leadership council and pastoral search committee and is the church pianist. Cathy attended the Ball State University Honors College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in both Chemistry and Piano in 1996. She lives in Carmel with her husband and two sons. Her eldest son is a 2019 alumnus of Midwest Academy.
Crystal Hinson Miller, MA, CFRE
Crystal has been a member of the Midwest Academy Board of Trustees since the fall of 2019, and currently serves on the board’s development committee.
Professionally, she serves as Chief Philanthropy Officer for Indiana University Health and President of the IU Health Foundation. In these roles, she leads system philanthropy efforts across 15 IU Health adult hospitals and is the chief steward of the Foundation’s $250M in assets.
Crystal’s commitment to civic and faith-based work includes involvement with Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Indiana and as a “<em>Legacy Leader</em>” for the Pass the Torch for Women Foundation. She is also an active member of Second Presbyterian Church, serving on the church’s Commitment Committee and being annually engaged in Second Church’s <em>Christmas Benevolence</em> program..
A native North Carolinian, she is an alumna of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her master’s degree with honors from Appalachian State University. She and her husband live in Indianapolis with their two sons, one of whom attends Midwest Academy. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, watching movies, following college sports and learning more about the Hoosier state they have called home since 2017.
Crystal Hinson Miller, MA, CFRE
Kelly joined the Midwest Academy board January 2020. She is part of the fundraising/development committee. She has been very active volunteering at Midwest Academy for the past five years. She enjoys helping anyway she can but especially likes helping with the plays, dances and proms.
Kelly graduated from Ball State University in 1988 with a Telecommunications and marketing degree. She worked for ten years in advertising sales in radio and newspaper. Her last position before having children was the advertising director for the Ball State Daily News.
Kelly lives with her husband Jim, sons Jay and Max in Fishers. Max is currently a senior at Midwest.
Wayne Kotulic joined the MWA Board of Directors in June 2019, and currently serves on the board’s development committee. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a BS in management. A firm believer in progressive education, Wayne understands that finding the “right spot” for our children’s educational journey is vital. He is proud to be associated with such an innovative school and faculty at Midwest Academy.
Professionally, Wayne is the Vice-President of Texon Athletic Towel, the nation’s leading supplier to professional, collegiate, and amateur sports. Wayne enjoys traveling with his family on vacations, and attending customer’s sporting events around the country. He resides in Westfield, with his wife and son, who is a current Midwest Academy student.
Lexy Puzzella joined the Midwest Academy Board of Directors in June 2019. She is a graduate of Illinois State University with a BS in Finance. After graduating from ISU, Lexy worked for Sears Roebuck for 13 years as a Placement Analyst, New Store Coordinator, Assistant Buyer and Buyer.
When she moved to Indiana in 2000, she decided to stay home with her children. Lexy has served on various boards within the HSE schools. She was Vice-President of Brooks School Elementary and Treasurer of HSE Destination Imagination. She has also been involved with various committees on both of those boards.
Lexy is excited to join Midwest Academy’s Board of Directors. She looks forward to spreading the word about MWA as she is passionate about the future for its students once they have left high school. She resides in McCordsville with her husband John and 3 of their 4 daughters. Two of their girls will attend IU in the fall and Gracie will be a sophomore at MWA.
